YAF Triangle

Emerging Professionals

The Triangle Young Architects Forum | Emerging Professionals is a subcommittee of the American Institute of Architects Triangle Chapter. The organization focuses on the professional and personal development of interns and young architects in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region of North Carolina. We strive to aid young architects in the transition from graduation to licensure and beyond.

The NCSU/YAF Task Force is developing opportunities to better assist students and recent graduates in their transition into the architecture profession. The committee is dedicated to helping interns discover their potential as designers and community activists through involvement in the Young Architects Forum and the AIA.

STUDIO DROPS
The NCSU/YAF Task Force will drop off baskets for the students at certain times of year.  It makes students aware of the AIA's programs for recent grads and also provides things such as model material, caffeinated beverages, and green vegetables at times when we know that students are in need of such things.

PORTFOLIO PANEL DISCUSSIONS
YAF hosts discussions with a panel of local architects. The architects talk about their opinions on resumes, portfolios, and the hiring process. This is chance for NCSU students and those who have a job or are job searching to get their questions answered.
