July 14 | 4:30pm

Agnes and Price St., Raleigh

We're touring Raleigh's shiny new Cathedral while it's still under construction! Join us for an exclusive tour with Project Superintendent Bill Ogle, of Clancy and Theys to get a sneak peek inside.

We will meet at the construction trailer at 4:30pm. All attendees should bring the proper safety equipment such as closed toed shoes, safety glasses, vest, and hard hats.  Some may be available for those who do not have these.

CE and IDP credit can be provided upon request. Here are the learning objectives:

  • Participants will be able to recognize the design challenges of designing a major religious iconic building, including the various programmatic elements of this particular building type.
  • Participants will be able to discover how certain exterior building materials are fabricated, assembled, and installed.
  • Participants will be able to evaluate how the unique structural systems enabled the design of very large open spaces.
  • Participants will be able to examine how the general contractor works with an architectural representative as well as many different sub contractors on a daily basis.
